Camp Kenya

Camp Kenya is located 50 km south of Mombasa at Makongeni Village. The camp works in partnership with the local community of Makongeni, in the Kwale District. This location provides a real Kenyan Bush experience, located 4 km from the Indian Ocean. It offers an amazing environment Here you live amongst the tight knit local community providing you with an integrated, non-tourist, cultural experience. Makongeni Village (population 550) is an underdeveloped and cash poor community that benefits from the positive infrastructure developments and local employment possibilities provided by Camp Kenya. It is approximately 5km to first class medical and communication facilities. “Beach and Bush” experience that provides you with a varied and stimulating setting. Through this, you are able to enter a learning environment that is supported by structured, safe and professional practices.

Riuki Cultural Center promotes the culture of the people from central Kenya through the medium of entertainment. It aims at disseminating information on traditional culture through lectures, storytelling and theatrical presentations.
