

Treetops is located in the Aberdare National park in Mweiga and is 17 km from
Outspan Nyeri. The lodge rises straight out of the ground on stilts and has
four decks and a rooftop viewing platform. Being the original tree lodge, Treetops
is legendry for its royal connection and the animals it attracts i.e. Rhino,
Elephant, Buffalo, Bushbuck, Waterbuck and many other species.
There are 43 Standard Rooms, 5 triples and 2 suites. The rooms are small neat
and cozy ship-like cabins overlooking the waterhole.
Activities and Excursions:
Enjoy a 2 hour game drive in Aberdare National Park located 17km from Outspan.
The park is home to 2000 elephants that roam the clouded hills, and the remaining
habitat of the elusive Bongo antelope and giant forest hog. Black Rhinos also
roam the wilds and large herds of buffaloes can be seen in most areas of the
park. Carnivores in the park are, leopard, African wild cat, spotted hyena,
African civet and the rare golden and serval cat. Over 290 bird species have
been recorded. Forests of Aberdare region are world renowned for their wealth
in biodiversity compelling reason for a game drive.
