Patterson's Safari Camp
Patterson's Safari Camp is nestled on the banks of the Athi River in Tsavo East, one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries. The camp’s location has a historical significance of the infamous lion “Man eaters” of Tsavo who were finally put to rest by Patterson, the man named after the camp after devouring over 140 railway workers in the nineteenth century.
The camp comprises 20 spacious tents fitted with traditional Swahili architecture. All tents are en suite and open to a veranda with a sitting area overlooking the Athi River.
The dining and lounge facilities are built separately and offer a serene atmosphere.
In addition to game drives at Tsavo, known for the greatest concentration of elephants other activities include, a sundowner along the banks with panorama views of the Yatta Plateau or a visit to Mudanda Rock, a geological spectacle with numerous mammals in surrounding ponds or a drive to Lugard Falls, Tsavos most interesting geographical a favorite sunbathing spot for crocodiles.
